About
As of January 2012 we’ve officially changed the name of our vintage clothing, jewelry & accessories shop to Belle à Coeur Treasure Trove Vintage (gotta keep that bctreasuretrove URL!) We think it better reflects our love of the beautiful, wonderful vintage we offer in our web shops.
Bonnie & Clyde’s Treasure Trove vintage clothing began life as the name of our antiques shop back in 2004. Hindsight is 20/20 (duh) and looking back, I now see that wasn’t such a good name. (I’ve had people wanting me to purchase the real Bonnie’s shoes ~ you know, the ones she was wearing at her demise with blood on them. Um. Yeah.) But it is what it is, and now “it’s the attitude!” We figure ol’ B&C would have probably had quite a treasure trove stash of really cool things, except for that murder and mayhem thing.
Then came the birth of our website. Back in 2005 the website had different categories of antiques, including vintage clothing and another, jewelry. The design didn’t have a good search function and antique hunters had difficulty wading through all the vintage clothing and jewelry because … well, there was a lot more there!
So another website was born that separated the antiques from the vintage and we changed the name of the shop to Craig Antiques, keeping a smaller sign that Bonnie & Clyde’s Treasure Trove was in the back of the shop. It was also an effort to quell the constant questions, “Are you really Bonnie & Clyde”? If one more person calls me Bonnie …. ! My name is Diana, not the one I would have picked if I’d had a say in the matter, but no one asked me. But I digress ….
As time goes on, the vintage is starting to take over more and more of the store. Good things have a way of growing, don’t you think?
