We sell a large variety of beautiful items including brand-new HANDMADE home decor and jewelry as well as antiques, but our first love - our specialty is antique and vintage clothing.

Vintage clothing  that means that every item is at least 20 years old and Antique clothing (for our shop) means that it was made before 1940.  Antique and vintage items (clothing or otherwise) must be considered as having been used.  All items are stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment, but we have no way of knowing under what condition an item was kept prior to it being in our possession.

Non clothing items -- Antiques are at least 75 years old.  Vintage items are at least 20 years old.

Handmade jewelry and home decor items are new items that have never been used.  They are made by ME and are tagged with my personal Victim of Cupcakes label.

We combine shipping costs on multiple items purchased!  You will be refunded any shipping overages of $3.01 or more whether a single item purchase or multiple items purchased.  This will be calculated and refunded when your order is shipped.

Please do NOT return any item without prior authorization from us or we cannot issue a refund.  Be sure to read the specific section below that pertains to your item, i.e. Jewelry, Vintage Clothing, or Antique Clothing, Handmade Jewelry.

We do not give partial refunds.  This is not negotiable.

If any item received is damaged during shipping please contact us immediately and SAVE the packaging.  We will not be able to file a claim and issue a refund if the packaging is not saved and returned with the damaged item. We cannot refund on an item damaged in transit if you do not follow these instructions.

IF YOU WISH TO RETURN AN ITEM:  You MUST contact us within 48 hours (as determined by Delivery Confirmation) of receiving the item to inform us of the return and the reason for the return.  Do NOT return an item until you receive an email from us with authorization and instructions. The return shipping method is at our discretion. 

After you have contacted us, we must receive the returned item within 7 days of the date YOU received it (as determined by Delivery Confirmation) or there will be no refund, even if you contacted us within the required 48 hours.

Shipping fees are not refundable unless we have made an error in our description. 

You are responsible for return shipping and insurance costs.  If you return an item without insurance, any loss or damage during return shipping is your responsibility.  We will not refund for items lost or damaged during return shipment.  If you purchased insurance for your return, you will be able file a claim with the carrier.

We will email you when we receive the returned item (make certain you provide a valid email address – we cannot be held responsible for lack of communication if we do not have a working email and/or mailing address for you).  Your refund will be issued in the same manner payment was made.  (If you paid by credit card, your refund will be to your credit card.  If you paid with Paypal, your refund will be through Paypal.) 

There are no returns/refunds on items shipped express/overnight/next day.

There are no returns/refunds on items sold “AS IS” or “SALE” merchandise; these items are clearly marked as such in the description.

We reserve the right to refuse service without notice.

When we deem it appropriate, we may charge a 25% restocking fee or we may issue a store credit.


We are very sorry, but we only ship to the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand at this time.

We usually ship via USPS Priority Mail, or in some instances, Express or Registered Mail.  Please contact me for a quote.

International buyers accept the responsibility of all customs fees and duties (value added taxes), etc. which are NOT included in our pricing.  All customs and duties values will be reported honestly, please do not ask us to alter this amount because …we won’t.  It’s illegal and I don’t have time to do time. 

Your country's customs office may require you to pick your package up, and this is your responsibility.  Also, please understand that international shipments can take as long as 6 - 8 weeks and is completely out of our control.


We make every effort to describe each jewelry item as completely and accurately as possible and provide clear photographs.  If you have any questions at all about a particular item, please contact us BEFORE purchasing.

We must receive the returned item in exactly the same condition as it was when we shipped it and with all pieces included AND packed and shipped in the same careful manner that we sent it to you.  Items are tagged and/or marked as being from our shop and if this tagging/marking is removed, we cannot issue a refund.  We will not refund for the return of an item damaged once it is in your possession or an item that has been tampered with.  We carefully document the item and its condition of each item when it is shipped.

Vintage Clothing (items sold in this category and/or in its subcategories):

Each item of vintage (wearable) clothing and many wearable accessories are shipped with a bright green stock tag attached.  DO NOT remove this tag until you are certain you will be keeping the item.  If the tag has been removed, we will NOT accept a return and there will be NO REFUND.  

The item must be returned in the same condition as we shipped it – unworn, undamaged and with our stock tag in place AND packaged in the same careful manner that we sent it to you. 

Belts and any accessories included in the item description must be included or there will be NO REFUND.  The condition of each item is carefully documented when it is shipped.

We do not accept returns because an item does not fit, is the wrong color, or for “buyer’s remorse”.  We make every effort to measure accurately and you are encouraged to email us BEFORE your purchase with any questions.  I stand behind my descriptions.  If I have inadvertently missed something (I’m a mere mortal, after all!) contact me within 48 hours of receiving your item and we will make every effort to make things right.

For obvious reasons, antique clothing will not have a tag attached.  Please read the paragraph on antique clothing returns, below.

Antique Clothing (items sold in this category and/or in its subcategories) :

We care for and do everything possible to protect the antique clothing treasures that we offer for sale.  Most items are very fragile and we have found that accepting returns on antique clothing generally results in customers not receiving a refund because the item is not in the same condition as when we shipped it.  This is not because the customer was careless in repackaging and shipping, but because these dresses are so old and fragile that packing and shipping a second time tends to add just enough extra wear and tear that we are unable to return the item to our stock.  Therefore, our general policy is to NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON ANTIQUE CLOTHING ITEMS.

We sell all antique clothing items “As Is”.  We do our very best to find and note all flaws and condition issues.  Sometimes we can miss minor issues, especially in clothing with many folds, ruffles, lace, etc.  If you have concerns about the condition of an item you intend to purchase, please email us and we will be more than happy to address any concerns.

These pieces are 80+ years old and cannot be considered flawless or sturdy enough for wear, in most cases.  We will only accept a return for a clothing item that dates from between 1780 and earlier through approximately 1940 if we have mistakenly identified or mis-dated the item.  If this is the case, simply contact us for a return authorization, within 48 hours of receiving it, and your purchase price along with shipping costs will be happily refunded when you follow our return policy.  Measurements are clearly stated and if a dress does not fit your dress form, this is not an acceptable reason for return.

Handmade Home Decor:

We are sorry to have to implement these strict policies, but have had recent experiences with people who don’t “play fair”.  We are not a big chain store, just the “little guy” trying to run an honest business and survive.  We always try to remember the old adage that “you catch more flies with honey”.  If you are not happy, just send a nice email explaining things and we will return a nice email that will hopefully solve your problem.
