1950s Shirt Dress Shirt Dress Belted Medium
This super nice vintage shirt dress, dating to the late 1940s or early 1950s, features cuffed short sleeves, a pleat at the front of each shoulder, a self-fabric collar, V-neck, and matching fabric belt. It has a full center front closure with 14 buttons and a hook and eye at the waist. The fabric is a dark tan ground with dark brick red, gold, dark turquoise and chocolate brown medallions. Throughout the fabric design are black “crinkles” printed onto the fabric.
Fabric: Unknown – possible cotton or cotton blend
Label: There is no label other than the ILGWU label (see photo). ILGWU with AFL-CIO (pre-1955)
Condition: In excellent condition – I’m not sure it’s even been worn because the belt shows very little wear at the adjustment area.
