Zell Compact Vintage Gold with Red Enamel in Original Box with Tag UNUSED 1940s

A great vintage Zell compact case dating to the 1940s. The case is gold tone metal with red enamel between etched floral designs on diagonal bands. It comes in its original cardboard box and the original Goldblatt's price tag sticker is still affixed to the back - it's unused!

The interior is beautiful - the mirror on the inside lid is in very good condition with only a small problem along the right edge - otherwise very clear and clean. The puff is nice and white - clean, unused, and has "Zell Fifth Avenue" stamped in gold at the center. The powder screen is also clean and white with no evidence of use.

The compact case measures 3 1/8" wide, 1/2" high, and 2 3/16" deep.

In very good condition. The only flaw I can find is a tiny bit of corrosion on the front (see enlarged area in photo). The cardboard box is sturdy and unbroken, but is a bit dingy due to age.
