A sweet vintage belt buckle from the 20s / 30s that features two glass cabochons with intaglio flowers, reverse painted mostly in pastel colors, similar to goofus glass from the early 20th century. These are also called “paperweight” jewelry. Each cab is surrounded with textured goldtone filigree.

Besides a belt buckle, we’ve also seen these smaller buckles being used to make bracelets today!

Measurements:  The buckle measures 2 ¾” long by 1 1/8” high, fastened. Each half (medallion) is 1 3/8” wide. There is a tiny bit of overlap that accounts for the difference in size from being fastened.

Signed:  This very pretty gold tone belt buckle is marked “MADE IN ZCECHO – SLOVAKIA” (see photo – it’s not a typo) on the back of one of the buckle pieces.

Condition:  Very Good condition, with wear to the back of each half.
