Vintage Hostess Apron Blue Flocked Birdcages Roses Lace
This is a superbly beautiful vintage organza / organdy hostess apron, dating to the 1950s. This half apron is made in a delightful light sky blue fabric with a flocked design with roses of multiple pastel colors and an edge “printed” flocked scalloped design with birdcages cascading with roses. It’s just so pretty and feminine!
There is a self-fabric patch pocket with a nylon lace ruffle at the opening and tiny rick rack on the stitching. I’ve added photos of the lace ruffle edge showing a yellow flower on the apron under the lace – it shows through the lace and appears to be a stain. It is NOT.
Measurements: The front waistband measures 1 ¾” wide and 20 1/8” wide and the apron panel is lightly gathered onto that. Each tie is 2 ¾” wide and 23” long. The apron panel (INCLUDING waistband) is 20 ½” long and 28” wide.
