Nearly perfect, this baby petticoat, an antique barrow coat, is petticoat for use under a sheer christening gown. Also known as a pinning blanket.

Made of pure white cambric, this baby petticoat appears to be a handmade heirloom and features a wide 3 ½” band at the top, 3 sets of pin tucks, and crochet edging. The pintucks are arranged on the lower third of the dress (from top to bottom) as 3 tucks, 4 tucks, and 6 tucks. There are no fasteners as it was meant to be pinned in place. In excellent condition – the only issue found is a tiny rust colored spot, much smaller than a pencil eraser, on the crochet edging. It has been washed, ironed and lightly starched.
