Black Silk Skirt Antique Victorian or Edwardian For Study or Pattern
This poor little antique black silk skirt dates to the late Victorian era or Edwardian years and it's seen its share of life. It will be best used for study or for pattern making.
The skirt appears to have been remade from earlier styles, which is why it is difficult to assign a date to it. The center back seam shows evidence of hooks and eyes that were removed below the current set of hooks and eyes that make the waist closure. There are tiny needle holes left where a seam was taken out and it looks like a previous hem was removed. There are numerous areas that have old mending.
Condition:
The condition is POOR. It could probably be used for display, but is really best used for study. No return accepted on this item.
Measurements:
- Waist -- 31"
- Hips -- Open
- Length -- 33"
- Sweep -- 72"
