Emmons Vintage Clip Earrings Rainbow Star Early EmJ Mark

A great find for the Emmons jewelry fan!  This is a pair of vintage clip on earrings by Emmons.  The design is called “Rainbow Star” and features aurora borealis stones set on goldtone atomic stars with a large imitation pearl set at the center.

This is the “regular” size earring that was available in this set.  There is a larger version that was the same size as the matching brooch.  

Can also be seen in a 1966 dated Emmons Jewelry catalog.

Measurements:  Each earring measures about 1” in diameter.

Signed:  EmJ in a box on each clip.  The EmJ mark was the first mark used by Emmons in the late 1950s and early 1960s.  I do not see the copyright symbol above the mark, so this may be among the earliest of Emmons’ signatures.

Condition:  Very good+++ condition – near excellent.  The back of each earring where the clip “strikes” the plating is very, very slightly chipped.  This is never seen when worn.  Earring clips are in fine working order.
