This pretty vintage sterling vermeil chatelaine pin looks like a pair of birds singing to each other as they sit on branches of different trees! The leaves on the trees are clear and sparkling prong set navette rhinestones with a red rhinestone chaton at the tip of each bird’s branch. The branch the larger bird sits on is lined with small chatons. Each bird’s eye is a tiny red rhinestone.

Measurements: The shortest chain measures 8 ½”. The larger bird measures 1 ¾” wide and 1 3/8” high. The smaller bird is 1” wide and 7/8” high.

Signed: Both birds are marked on the back STERLING.

Condition: This vintage chatelaine pin is in good condition. All the rhinestones are bright and sparkling but the gold plating has some wear on both birds, as well as very dark patina. Some of the darkness will come off with cleaning, but that is being left for the new owner to decide. Fortunately, most of this is seen only with magnification. The smaller bird’s tail shows more without magnification, but is not terribly distracting. Still very pretty and very wearable vintage jewellery!
