Art Deco Czech Brooch Large Ruby Red Center Stone
This elegant vintage Art Deco stamped brass brooch is likely Czech and features a large ruby red glass elongated hexagon shaped center stone with 8 more faceted glass stones – light blue, green, red, and yellow topaz.
The closure on the back is an early 20th century c-clasp.
Measurements: The pin measures 1 7/8” wide and 1 ¼” high.
Signed: NO Unsigned, but attributed Czechoslavakia.
Condition: Very good +++ condition There appear to be a couple of flaws that occurred at the time of manufacture – the photo of the front of the brooch shows them very well. Just above the bottom left prong, the large red stone has some marring where it looks like the prong scratched the stone when it was being set and there is a flat spot on the brass frame where the stamping is not strong. Hardly visible, both areas, particularly the glass, are only noticeable under close inspection.
