MultiStrand Chain Necklace & Earrings Royal Blue and Goldtone Vintage 1970s
If you love blue and multiple strands of chain, you are just going to love this vintage blue glass bead & multi-strand chain necklace and earring set from the 1970s! The photos just don't do this set justice - this is a very, VERY pretty set!
A neat gold tone metal clasp with three leaves on each half hold six strands of gold tone chain. There are two different shades of gold metal chain – one is a deeper gold color and the other is paler, almost silver color. There are tiny cobalt blue glass beads dangling from the lighter color chain, while the darker gold color chain is plain. The central chain is made up of blue embossed links surrounded by a gold tone metal frame. If you look closely, you’ll see flowers and leaves in relief on the blue links.
The matching clip earrings repeat three of the chains – 2 with the blue glass beads and one plain chain – and from the center is a dangle of one of the blue enamel links that ends in a little blue glass bead. A larger blue glass bead is set at the center of the clip.
Measurements: The shortest chain of the necklace measures 21” and each earring is 2 ½” long.
Signed: Unsigned.
Condition: In excellent condition. The fold over clasp and earring clips are in fine working order.
